How to Root Samsung Galaxy Note N7000

How to Root Samsung Galaxy Note N7000:
  • Now once you open the extracted folder, you will  find that there are three tools which are Odin Flash tool, CWM recovery kernel and also the Super user Zip file as shown in the below screen capture. Please note that just in case even if single file is missing, you will then have to re download the Zip file from the above link mentioned and extract the same.

  • After extracting the files, you will have to connect the phone to the computer using the USB cable and neec to copy the file named “SuperUSER-N7000-ef-signed” as mentioned in the above screen capture. Turn Off your Galaxy Note N7000 device so that you can then enter into the download mode. Open the Odin Flash tool in your computer at this moment.

  • To enter into the download mode for your Galaxy Note N7000, press the Volume Down key + Menu Button and then simultaneously holding these both, Power ON the device so that you will then see the Download Mode screen. Once you turn ON the device, you will then need to press the “Volume Up” key to confirm the Download Mode entry. You can also refer to the below screen capture to know more on how to enter into the Download Mode.
  • Once you enter into the download mode, you now need to connect the device to the computer using the USB cable which you got at the time of purchase with Galaxy Note N7000 while keeping the Odin opened in the computer.

  • As soon as you connect the device to the computer, you will see that the ID:COM section in the Odin will turn yellow as shown in the below screen capture which will mean that the device has been detected and all the drivers have been successfully detected and you can then proceed to selecting the files as mentioned below.
  • Now, click on the respective mentioned tab and select the corresponding file which is mentioned below in the Odin. Ensure that the “Re Partition” option is un checked and also you should match all other selections as mentioned in the below screen capture.

  • Now, once you have selected the file you now need o proceed to click on “Start” to start the process of rooting. At this point of time don’t interrupt the process of rooting by disconnecting the phone connected via USB to PC.

  • Now, as soon as the CWM Recovery is flashed successfully you now need to remove the USB cable and then you need to turn Off the device so that you can then enter into the recovery mode. The recovery mode can be entered by pressing Volume UP key + Center button, and holding both simultaneously press the Power Button. Once you do so, you will be entered into the recovery mode.
  • In the recovery mode, select Wipe data/factory reset and also you need to select Wipe Cache partition. After this you will now need to proceed to select the option of “install Zip from SD Card” and then you need to choose the file which is named as “SuperUSER-N7000-ef-signed”.
  • As soon as you select the file, the process of updation begins and once its done you will again land up in the recovery mode page after which you will need to select the option of “++++ Go Back ++++” and select “reboot system now” to restart the device.
So, in this way you have successfully rooted the device and installed the Super user in your Samsung Galaxy note N7000.
